Sunday Adeniyi popularly k own as King Sunny Ade (KSA) was my dad's favorite act,pops knew every song from this man by heart,you could literally win him over by singing a KSA song just to get something from him...yeah the love was that deep.With a stage act characterised by dexterous dancing steps and mastery of
the guitar, Ade introduced the pedal steel guitar to Nigerian music
along with the use of synthesizers, clavinet, vibraphone, tenor guitar
into the jùjú music repertoire such as dub and wah-wah guitar licks. KSA was born on the 22nd of September and to celebrate this milestone he was well celebrated by his wives, family members and friends including music icon,
Ebenezer Obey, the Olu of Itori,
Oba Fatai Akamo, Yinka Ayefele and others.
Prior to this he had a party at Houston, Texas with family and friends on August 23, 2016, where he was given a citizenship certificate.His birthday celebration had
Kunle Afolayan, Dayo Adeneyeand MD/CEO of Saheeto Small Chops,
Saheed Kekere-Ekun in attendance.
Seyi Law, conducted the cutting of the grand cakes and
Ajele ‘MCAjele’ Adeyemi was the MC for the event.
