Good morning lovelies!,how are you doing?,how has the week
been with you ,sorry this week’s post is coming quite late,it is the fault of
my very beautiful country where fuel is not affordable,and where electricity
supply is a luxury.So you see it is really beyond my power urn?I f you missed
the last post on how to grow healthy hair you should probably go back and check
it because it is like a continuation.This week Tiwatope will be sharing with us
how we can grow longer hair (probably longer than hers..hehehe),and how to
retain the length.
Most of us don’t give our hair the care and attention it
needs and we complain and get frustrated because it’s not growing the way you
want it to,some even cut it off to supposedly ease their worries.I just want
you to know there is no magic in growing longer hair and retaining it,all you
need is simple steps to follow, and understanding how the hair works and
grows.Here are few tips you could follow in growing longer hair and retaining
its length which is also as important as growing the hair.
1.USE A GOOD HAIR ROUTINE: This means that you should have
good ways or good steps you follow in
taking care of your hair. To make things easy, get a sticky note, write out
your routine and paste it on your walls or where you can easily see them virtually every time, and your routine should include;
*Change The Way You Wash Your Hair: I keep telling my
clients not to wash their hair often, and when you wash, don’t rinse with hot
water ,washing your hair like once in 2 weeks is cool and not every weekend
like some people do.
*Dry Your Hair Gently: Do you towel dry your hair roughly?
Brush it out when wet? Stop doing that!. You are breaking your hair ,and doing
this wont give your hair the chance to grow long and strong ,learn to treat
your hair with the same gentle care you give to your skin. Don’t brush while it
is wet and don’t blow dry too often.
2.OLIVE OIL AND EGG MIXTURE.
This is really another cheap way to grow longer hair rapidly. I use olive oil
and egg mask weekly for my hair treatment and sometimes once in 2 weeks
and I will advice you to do the same. My
hair had been hanging behind my neck for only
God how many years, but ever since I settled for a good routine and regimen,
my hair growth has been amazing.
As far back as the ancient times, people have included olive
oil and egg in their hair care routine. Olive oil will help prevent your hair
from environmental factors, while egg contains lecithin and protein , this enhances
hair growth and helps in rebuilding damaged hair.
<PROCEDURE>.
*Break an egg in a bowl, depending on how full your hair is,
you could break two eggs, just make sure both are in the same ratio.
*Add a tablespoon of olive oil ,that will be two tablespoons
for two eggs.
*Apply the mixture to your properly De-tangled hair, parting
your hair bit by bit until all your scalp is covered.
*Wear a shower cap over it for twenty minutes.
*After that period might has elapsed,wash your hair with
shampoo and conditioner.
Do it once in a week for good results.
WAYS TO RETAIN YOUR HAIR LENGTH.
1.GET LEAVE-IN CONDITIONERS AND NATURAL OILS. It is shocking
that most ladies skip leave-in conditioners
in their routines and this is like the worse thing you could ever do to
your hair,especially when you are trying
to grow your hair really long. It is actually shampoo you should skip as
much as possible because while you are washing off dirt yo could also be
washing off the essential oils that keep strands soft and healthy. Apply
leave-in conditioner and natural oils like extra virgin olive oil,100% pure
coconut oil and the likes often.
2.WEAR PROTECTIVE HAIRSTYLES. Protective hairstyles are
hairstyles that enhance your hair growth, most likely your hair ends.The ends
are tucked in such that they are protected from environmental factors,examples are bun,big braids,pin-ups
and up-dos.(I will still take my time to talk about protective hairstyles and
easy way to create them).
3.DON'T COMB YOUR HAIR TOO OFTEN. Leave your hair alone!. You
shouldn’t comb your hair daily,(yes!, you heard right). It is natural for your
hair to shed though but combing daily will increase the rate at which your hair
breaks off.Instead,De-tangle with fingers gently, I will advice you to comb your
hair once a week,or only on your each days,and make sure you do so with a wide
toothed comb.
4.WRAP YOUR HAIR AT NIGHT. This is very essential in
retaining hair length,it helps protect your hair.
Firstly,moisturize and seal your hair with your favorite oil,
now cover your hair with satin scarf. Make sure you don’t lie on your edges, do
a little shift down to your forehead,and don't tie too tightly.
