THE THOUGHTS OF AN OPTIMIST...A POEM.

Good morning everyone,i trust you slept well.Writing poems was something i used to do when i was younger but along the line i lost my muse,but i read a poem yesterday which propelled me into writing something,so here is something little,and who else will i share it with if not you guys...,a saturday morning food for thought.


If you had a crystal ball,
If you could tell your future and more,
If you could change your past,
What would you do?

If you could see tomorrow and would not need to wonder "what next"?,
If you saw the effect of your words on others,
If you saw the success of your work,
What would you do?

If you could envisage the step before you even walked,
If you could be a soothsayer,
If you had the eyes of the seers,
What would you do?

If you had the vision of the visioneers,
If you had the prophesies of the prophets,
If you had the dream of the dreamers,
What would you do?

If you could travel in time and change results,
If you could go back in time to change destiny,
If you saw the end to the pursuit of your happiness,
What would you do?

Where will you go?,
How will you go about it?,
Would you be kinder?,
Would you live like you owned the world?,
Would you treasure the journey through life?,
Or would you realize life is vanity,and that we are just pencils in the hands of the creator?...
