Yaaay!,that time of the year when we get to reminiscence about the reason Jesus Christ came to the world is here,today in history,quite a number of things happened to our lord Jesus Christ that day and they are;.
According to the Gospels, Here are the 24 things that happened to Jesus:
24 Was taken before Pilate in the morning.
23- Sent to Herod.
22- Returned to Pilate.
21- Was mocked and beaten.
20- Saw Barabbas released in his stead.
19- Was crowned with thorns.
18- Was condemned to death.
17- Carried the crushing burden of his cross.
16- Told the weeping women what would happen in the future.
15- Was crucified between two thieves.
14-Forgave those who crucified him.
13-Entrusted the Virgin Mary to the beloved disciple.
12- Assured the good thief of his salvation.
11- Said his famous seven last words.
10- Cried out and died.
09- There was darkness over the land.
08- There was an earthquake.
07- The veil of the temple was torn in two.
06- Many saints of the Old Testament period were raised.
05- A soldier pierced Christ’s side and blood and water flowed out.
04- Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.
03- He was buried in Joseph’s own tomb.
02- A guard was set over the tomb.
01- Jesus’ friends and family grieved at his death.
