ED SHEERAN BECOMES DOCTOR...CHILL IT'S AN HONORARY DOCTORATE.

So Ed Sheeran is one of my all time favourite singer(im a cazy fan like that),i cant even bear it if he decides to stop singing(yeahright..),so he became Dr.Ed Sheeran after he receives an honorary doctorate from Campus Suffolk.


Sporting long robes in Gryffindor colours, you could be forgiven for thinking this photo was a still from a Harry Potter flick, but a closer look confirms that it features none other than Ed Sheeran. Actually, that’s Dr. Ed Sheeran to you.
The star, know for being one of the nicest blokes in pop, was awarded an honorary doctorate by University Campus Suffolk for an ‘outstanding contribution to music.’ Accepting the award, Ed gushed: ‘I’m honored to receive this honorary degree. I’ve had an amazing year with my world tour and this makes it even better. Suffolk is very much where I call home and I’m always welcomed back and get so much support.’ Aww!
Somehow, Ed managed to be TOTALLY modest about his achievement. Breaking the news to his 15.5 million Twitter followers, he wrote: ‘I graduated today, I am now officially Dr. Sheeran.’ Still full of disbelief, he tweeted just a few minutes later: ‘I wasn’t joking, I am a doctor now.’

Oh, Ed – are we making you blush? With four Brit awards behind him, we think that he is more than deserving of his doctorate. After Ed dropped out of his high school in Suffolk to pursue a music career at the tender age of 16, it’s an extra special honour that the same county has chosen to give him an academic acknowledgement for his achievements. Grateful Ed also posted a video on the University Campus Suffolk’s official Instagram.
Of course, Ed’s not the only music artist to receive a doctorate recently – how could we forget that Kanye West was awarded a similar honour last May? The College Dropout star was given an honorary doctorate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, complete with a full graduation ceremony.
In the past, veteran British music artists David Bowie, Bob Dylan and Brian May have all received honorary doctorate degrees. After Ed, we wonder who’s next…maybe all the One Direction boys could nab one?
