A MUST READ:KNOW ABOUT ENDOMETRIOSIS AND SAVE A LIFE.

"Tomisin you should write on ENDOMETRIOSIS o,most people don't know about it and it is something most females live with and don't know,and I was like abeg which one is endometrioisis again".-That was my first time hearing the word from a guy!.
 It is bad how in this side of the world we don't take some particular things serious about our health which is killing so many people everyday,and some even hear and know about these things but ignorance is killing them,the "ko mean" syndrome like someone said to me,this post is for everybody,males included because you might be saving your mum,sister,daughter and even a friend from unnecessary pain .

Endometiosis pronounced en-do-me-tree-o-sis is an often painful disorder in which tissue that normally line the inside of your uterus (the endometrium) grows outside your uterus (endometrial implant),endometriosis most commonly involves your ovaries,bowel or the tissue lining your pelvis rarely,endometrial tissue may spread beyond your pelvic region,in endometriosis,displaced endometrial tissue continues to act as it normally would,it thickens,breaks down,and bleeds with each menstrual cycle. Because this displaced tissue has noway to exit your body it becomes trapped.
When endometriosis involves the ovaries,cysts called endometriomas may form,surrounding tissue can become irritated,eventually developing scar tissue and adhesion (abnormal tissues that bind organs together).Endometriosis can cause pain,sometimes severe especially during your period,fertility problems may also develop.Fortunately,effective treatments are available.
Common signs and symptoms of endometriosis may include:

* Painful period (dsymenorrhea): Pelvic pain and cramping may begin before and extend several days into your period and may include lower back and abdominal pain.
* Pain with intercourse: Pain during or after sex is common with endometriosis.
* Pain in the bowel: Pain with bowel movement or urination,these symptoms are likely to be experienced during period.
* Excessive bleeding: You may experience occasional heavy periods (menorrhagia),or bleeding between periods ( menometrorrhagia).
* Infertility: Endometriosis is first diagnosed in some women who are seeking treatment for infertility.
* Fatigue.
* Diarrhea,
* Constipation.
* Bloating or nausea.
All these symptoms are likely to be more severe during a female's menstrual period,the severity of the pain isn't necessarily a reliable indicator of extent of the condition,some women with mild endometriosis may have little pain or even no pain at all.Endometriosis is sometimes mistaken for other conditions that can cause pelvic pain such as Pelvic Inflammatory Disease(PID),or ovarian cysts,it may be confused with Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS),a condition that causes bouts of diarrhea,constipation and abdominal cramping,IBS can accompany endometriosis which can complicate the diagnosis.

In addition,see your doctor if you have signs and symptoms that may indicate endometriosis,the cause of chronic or severe pelvic pain may be difficult to pinpoint but discovering the problems early may help you avoid unnecessary complications and pains.
I hope you find the article very useful,you could reach out to me if you have any other question.
