HAIR TALK WITH TIWATOPE; HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RELAX MY HAIR?

Before I start working on any of my clients I ask them few questions and one of them is "how often do you relax your hair?",I get different answers but the most interesting ones being "once I try combing my hair and I notice my comb can't got through easily,I relax straight away"..."I have a very stubborn hair texture,so I relax every month"...*deep sigh* YOUR HAIR WILL BREAK!,you know why?...
Relaxers are made with lots of chemicals combined together, chemicals you cant even name, identify or draw their structures..lol. Now applying these chemicals to your hair every month means your hair is already breaking or its way to breaking, and please I want you to know relaxers are meant to be applied on *new growth* and not current hair.

In my picture above,my hair was five months due (last retouch was 10th of February 2016) I was even thinking of going one month more, mind you I'm not saying it would be easy, many of us want longer hair but can't sacrifice, its not magic it takes passion, dedication and #softwork#.
Personally I don't do hairstyles with leave out,no matter how minimal, that's PROTECTIVE STYLING (we already talked about it here,so you can check the archives if you are new). Currently my new growth is averagely 2inches,its more but I have to put it on an average, and my ponytail as you can see above is 11inches. The normal interval between your last retouch and your next retouch should be based on how many inches your new growth is,so I would suggest you go 16weeks (4months),your hair would definitely come out healthy, strong and of course longer if you follow these simple guide.
Don't forget to drop your comments, and feel free to ask me anything,I'm here to serve you...love you as always.
